About Mac’s II Agencies
Mac’s II Agencies is a leading manufacturer’s representative agency connecting global lighting and electrical brands with the British Columbian market. We pride ourselves on delivering innovative solutions and building meaningful relationships with industry professionals. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Specification Consultant to lead a new strategic focus in landscape, roadway, and sports lighting.
The Opportunity
We’re opening a new path for growth—and you’ll be leading it. This role focuses on building strong relationships with Landscape Architects, Municipalities, Developers, and Roadway Lighting Contractors to generate specifications for projects such as parks, public spaces, sports fields, new subdivisions, and roadway upgrades.
This is a long-term relationship-building role. We anticipate smaller project wins within 8–10 months, while larger opportunities will stem from your ability to create long-lasting, strategic partnerships. This is your chance to shape the future of outdoor lighting across British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry professionals including:
- Landscape Architects
- Municipal Groups
- Specialty Accounts
- Developers
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities in public and private sectors.
- Attend and represent Mac’s II at key industry events
- Collaborate with internal teams to share insights and align with broader company strategies.
- Educate specifiers on product solutions from our manufacturing partners.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the lighting or electrical industry.
- Existing relationships with Landscape Architects or Municipal groups is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with lighting design tools such as AGI32 or DIALux is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
Additional Information
- While the core territory is Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, and the Fraser Valley, there may be opportunities to support other regions including Vancouver Island and the BC Interior.
- This is a strategic growth position with significant long-term opportunity for both personal and professional development.
