Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a results-driven Projects & Specification Sales Representative to strengthen our presence in Northern BC.

The Opportunity
This role is all about influencing specifications and closing business. As a Projects & Specification Sales representative, you’ll focus on building trusted relationships with consultants—including engineers, designers, and architects—while supporting local electrical distributors to close awarded projects. You’ll be the key point of contact for both upstream and downstream project development, ensuring Mac’s II solutions are specified, supplied, and supported throughout the entire construction lifecycle.

This position is based in Northern BC, covering a vast and active territory from Kitimat to Dawson Creek, with Prince George serving as a central hub. Applicants located in the region are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants such as electrical engineers, lighting designers, and architects to drive specification opportunities.
  • Collaborate with local electrical distributors to close out awarded projects and support product selection, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify and pursue new construction and retrofit projects across Northern BC.
  • Act as the primary liaison between specifiers, contractors, and distributor partners to ensure smooth communication and project flow.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of our manufacturers’ solutions and how they align with design and performance goals.
  • Represent Mac’s II at relevant industry events, training sessions, and trade shows within the region.
  • Provide product recommendations, specification guidance, and support lighting layouts in collaboration with our internal teams.

Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the lighting, electrical, or construction industry.
  • Experience working with or calling on consultants such as engineers, architects, or designers is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of the local distribution landscape in Northern BC is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with lighting design tools such as AGI32 or DIALux is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote territory.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills and a solutions-focused approach.
