Industrial Sales Representative – British Columbia
Position Overview
Mac’s II Agencies is looking for an Industrial Sales Representative to support the continued growth of our industrial business throughout British Columbia.
Reporting to the Industrial Sales Manager, this role is responsible for driving demand for Mac’s II’s industrial product portfolio by developing relationships with key industrial end users, electrical distributors, contractors, and other stakeholders across the province.
The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time in the market—identifying opportunities, building relationships, presenting solutions, and helping customers select the right products for demanding industrial applications. A key part of the role is connecting end-user demand with our industrially focused electrical distribution partners to create sustainable, long-term sales growth.
This is a provincial role based in British Columbia and will require limited travel throughout the province.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Industrial Demand
- Develop and grow relationships with key industrial end users throughout British Columbia, including mines, mills, ports, terminals, manufacturing facilities, utilities, and other heavy industrial operations.
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing and prospective industrial accounts.
- Build demand for Mac’s II industrial brands by understanding customer applications, challenges, standards, and upcoming requirements.
- Introduce new products and solutions that improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and performance within industrial environments.
- Maintain an active pipeline of industrial opportunities and follow them from initial identification through specification, quotation, distribution, and sale.
Support Electrical Distribution
- Work closely with industrially focused electrical distributors throughout British Columbia to develop opportunities and grow sales.
- Ensure demand generated at the end-user level is effectively connected back through our distribution partners.
- Conduct joint sales calls with distributor representatives to key industrial customers.
- Provide product training, application support, and sales tools to distributor sales teams.
- Develop strong relationships with key distributor branches and industrial specialists.
- Help distribution partners identify opportunities within their existing customer base.
Develop Key Accounts
- Establish Mac’s II as a trusted resource with key industrial accounts throughout the province.
- Develop an understanding of each account’s facilities, applications, purchasing structure, preferred distributors, standards, and future requirements.
- Build relationships across multiple levels within key accounts, including maintenance, operations, engineering, procurement, and management.
- Maintain regular contact with priority accounts and develop long-term account plans for strategic customers.
Product & Application Support
- Develop strong technical knowledge of the industrial brands represented by Mac’s II.
- Assist customers in selecting products appropriate for challenging industrial environments and applications.
- Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, training sessions, and lunch-and-learns.
- Work with our manufacturers and internal team to provide technical information and application support when required.
- Stay current on relevant industry trends, applications, competitive products, and market opportunities.
Territory Development
- Develop and execute a provincial sales plan in collaboration with the Industrial Sales Manager.
- Identify priority vertical markets, accounts, distributors, and opportunities throughout British Columbia.
- Maintain accurate opportunity and customer information and provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline, and market conditions.
- Provide feedback from the market to help Mac’s II and our manufacturers identify product, inventory, and growth opportunities.
- Represent Mac’s II and our manufacturers professionally at customer meetings, distributor events, industry events, and trade shows.
Key Product Lines
The Industrial Sales Representative will support a growing portfolio of industrial manufacturers, including:
- Nemalux
